Reading Hazey's post regarding not wanting to modify his standard bike, I find myself in the same situation!
Eyore, my N1, is in lovely shape. All very stock and in great nick..apart from the scratch I just put on the front mudguard..dohh! I really do want to up-speck it a bit with Allspeeds (on order for 2 months now!!!) and almost certainly a brake upgrade. The problem is that by doing these 'hop-ups' I'm actually lowering the value of the bike.
What I need is a half built/nearly built hybrid for me to work on.
How much could I expect to get for Eyore, which is truly in superb nick...chassis and motor alike. Mike

if it's just speeds and brake upgrades it's just bolt on bits that can be swapped back over when they need to be,,,even different running gear can be made to bolt to original mountings so could all be put back to standard.

Why not look for a project rebuild that will leave your N1 standard and worth lots more. My Lc2 is not mint but it was too good to modify when I got it and I like the fact it is basically a standard 83 bike - something I never thought I would say ;D. I now have 2 project bikes which have enabled me to build exactly what I want. Downside is they are not getting any cheaper to buy and rebuilding to a decent standard costs £££'s. But it can be very rewarding and means you can ride the N1 whenever you want and have the project lurking in a corner for the times you fancy some tinkering.
Regards
Dusty

Thanks Dusty My problem is space (and also cash )..it's 2 bike maximum. I'll not get rid of Noodle so I feel that Eyore ' might have to go to make way for a 'project'. Truth is, I seriously think that if the Allspeeds had been ready weeks ago then I wouldn't even be having these thoughts. Mike p.s. The wife has decided that she is NOT going to ride it either.
