Hi Chaps, Just though i would start up this thread. I read that some people have had problems with power valves supplied by Steve. Just to let you know of my problems, cast valves supplied would just not fit - very poorly made, so cleaned up and fitted my spare set. Now 400 miles down the road, the brass insert of one of the power valve bushes has become loose and is flopping about giving an exhaust blow from the Lh cylinder - totally pissed . Now i think back, i did notice some sort of resin around the brass insert of the bushes before i fitted them - thought it was normal as first new set I've had. What has happen is the resin which was holding the insert in place has melted and is now free to rotate / move. Would have thought the brass insert would have been an interference fit, but this one certainly is not. I have emailed him tonight about the problem and asking him for a solution. Will kept everyone informed, if his response is poor then i would hate other forum members to throw their hard earned cash away, on what can only be described as poorly manufactured parts

TSS is not doing so well, there was a big thread on a few forums about all there work and claims. Lucky it's just the powervalves and not one of there 500 motors. One of the threads about the company is on the American RD/RZ350 forum. Linky: www.rzrd500.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7287

I'm sure he is a good chap, but he should be checking out his suppliers and ensuring that the quality is A1 before sending out goods to paying customers. At the end of the day, he's putting his good name on the line. His cast power valves were (pardon my french) s**t, took them on the chin, but I've ran out of chins when it comes to his billet valves - i work in the motor industry visiting suppliers were they work to very tight tolerances - but not Steve's suppliers - think they work in feet & inches. Good job I've found a decent set of gen Yam ones in my box of spares. Still awaiting a response, so his customer care is still to be proven. Just waiting for the gear change bush he supplied to shatter and f**k my gearbox. Expecting snow tomorrow, so this weeks just getting better & better. Deep breathe and step down off the soap box - its only money & and you can't take it with you .

Well it's been over a week now and no reply, so the customer care is as good as the parts he sells. So have fitted my spare secondhand set of gen yam bushes -wish i had done this to start with. Even if he had contacted me and supplied new parts, i have no confidence in his product. It's a shame he is not on EBay, at least the customer would have some protection. I know some have had a good experience, but i can only go off my experience, which has been very bad. Think he should stick to whatever he is doing that is more important than looking after the sales side of things, as he has shown he can't do both to a good standard. So the Two Stroke Shop gets the thumbs down from me.

Had a set of cast valves and they were crap but true to stev's word he sent a billet set free which seem a lot better, time will tell when the motor comes to bits to fit them. Not usually had a problem with him replying so out of character If you paid by credit card you will still be protected, give your card supplier a call. Steve

Hey ! the rascal only took 8!! months to deliver on the very first batch of CNC billet valves. Very well machined/pretty but they did require at least an hour of work each with my die grinder to erm.. fit MY cyls as advertised. Plus their bearing surfaces dimensions were below Yama spec. Mentioning that in public really got the Ass angry But hey! he did throw in a set of Utter Crap (undersized!) sliver plated wrist pin needle bearings as a 'consolation prize' for having to wait so effing long after paying. I'd now rather send $ to Nigeria.. given a choice.
