on me early pv both switch gear cables pass in front of the forks then go in-between the top of the head light and clocks, then enter the top hole in the headlight.the main loom passes the right side of the headstock into the bottom hole of the head light.right side as you sit on the bike.don't know if thats any good m8 bein a different pv

ok chaps............took off head, barrels, pistons and clutch casing the barrels look fine with only the slightest of hint of a mark.....no scratches u can feel. one side of the head is all pitted the other is smooth. the back bottom edges of the pistons have about six scratches which are quite deep: n e one tell me the reasons for the above and the action i should take plz coz i aint a mechanic thanks

no m8 pistons and rings are standard and fine apart from scratches on bottom back edge praps its let a piston go b4 which would explain the head

the 'peppering on one pot defo sounds like an old 'blow-up'...most heads are old enough now to have those sorts of marks...as long as its not new and evidence of detonation or pre-ignition... ...hard to say for sure without seeing it...you may be able to remove those scores on the skirts by rubbing them down with some fine-grade...use glass tho,not wet n dry,the bits can get ingrained in the pistons and make it worse...dont go mad, just try n smooth out the worst of the scoring...
