Hi, I fitted an all in one Zeeltronic to my hybrid yesterday all went plan, wiring was quite straight forward, servo works and started first kick. Before I play with it and take it for a blast I need to check timing etc... Which I'm not so sure about. I' bought a timing gauge that fits in the spark plug hole and ordered a strobe light and printed off a degree wheel. Can anybody point me in the right direction from here please, I've done some searching and still can't quite understand how to do it. Thanks jess

Im keen to hear more about this as well as I am at the same point with my LC Hybrid and my F1, but... I reckon there will be more answers on the rdrz500 forum to be honest, as more guys have done this one there.

Get a piece of wire or metal coat hanger and fashion a pointer to point at the degree wheel you printed out. I mounted mine to one of the screws that hold the clutch cover on.
Set the degree wheel up so that when the piston is at TDC by looking at the spark plug tool, the pointer points to zero on the degree wheel.
I put some masking tape cut to an arrow shape and with the piston at TDC, stuck the tape on the rotor to point at the timing mark on the stator mounting bracket (thing with 3 screws that holds all the charging coils etc), I then measured back 20 degrees by the degree wheel and put another tape marker on the rotor.
Set the zeel to a flat curve of 20 degrees advance the static angle is usual set to 34 degrees when Borut programs it.
Start the bike up and point the probe at the timing mark on the stator bracket, the second tape marker should line up with the timing mark. If it's out, you'll need to change the static angle to suit. Rev the bike to make sure the timing doesn't shift, if it does you have to change delay time I believe???
You can swap the plug the timing light is connected to and repeat, but you have to move the stickers 180 degrees-this is how I found my crank is out of ohase!
This should be the right way to do it, if it's not, someone will soon be along to say so ;D

Ian, thanks for the useful information, much appreciated. Only thing is I can,t load and save any curves yet I seem to have a problem which I'm trying to sort, loosing the will the live with it at the moment. Jess

I struggled to understand it-still do to be honest!
I probably do it wrong, but it woks!!
I load curve 1 or 2, modify it and save it to 1 or 2.
If I want to use the curve I've just programmed, I always save it to 1.
I also make a written copy of the changes in case I loose it!!

Thanks Ian for the info in here... cant give you a karma, but i would if i could.
Defo always write down what you put in, It doesnt take much to lose a curve, ive seen a mate do it whilst he was showing me how the zeel works.
