as above do these need some kind of ptfe thread locking? its just i put my mates top end back to gether and its being a pain. it started boilling over and leaking coolant around the head gasket. (bearing in mind i always use sealant even with new gaskets on 125s). when taking the head off i noticed 2 of the studs were loose, thought the threads had gone but they were ok. i tightened them back down again, he text me tonight saying its lost abit of water which seems to be from expasion bottle, can the rad caps fail? cheers neil

this used to happen on me lc250, i changed the head gasket for gen one still leaked ,then took it off and used sealant still leaked ,was told to use vaseline on head gasket by an old racer and it fixed it straight away!seams it fries the gasket to head when it first starts up and then seals it!
