i have ordered the chrome on 15th of febuary for my lc, and going to ring tomorrow for a price on small can allspeeds for the RD400E i bought yesterday, so was thinking about asking them to do the lc ones black chrome instead, just wondering if they look a lot better, easier to clean etc

Anybody got any black chrome? and whats the pro's and cons? I ordered a set awhile ago, very nice finish, but due to a change of plan sold em without even fitting. I ordered em after seeing them fitted to this LC OEB

black chrome looks real nice ,but i think you have to stear away from abrasive cleaners/ polish as it removes the finish (well it did on my micron hy-power pipe in the 80's)

rung gibsons today, and i was in time so managed to change my order to black chrome for my lc, on there website it only says rd400 up to dx model but i asked them and they said they could do them for my 400E so do i go for black chrome for my 400 as well or just normal chrome?, black chrome is £10 per pipe more than normal chrome

erm for your lc ? suggest a set of TSA pipes and even if you have to paint them with a broom.. you will still have a large grin on your face. IF spending large for pipes why bother with no power ones.

Black Chrome on the LC loks the muts but the Air cooled has lots of chrome. LCs are nearly all black so it looks nice.
Atick with Chrome on the Air coooled.
Personaly I would have a set of hand made Stainless Steel Martin Newlyn pipes on my Aircooled for similar money.

where are you lcrider, tried googling lc heaven in my shed but it said location not found. seriously have found a list of places all over the country that do black chrome, but if the exhausts you are going to get done have been used then you have to talk to them about when they are going to clean the baths out, as your exhausts would have to be the last job before clean out
