Hi...got an issue with the bike I've just built...fuel flow is poor when tank is half full due to it being level with carbs...looking to run with a mikuni vacuum fuel pump to help this! I'm not running the vacuum feeder pipe to the fuel tap now as running a different tap...is there enough vacuum from the fuel tap feed from the to run a mechanical fuel pump? Also unsure what flow rate I would require from the fuel pump? 15ltr? 20ltr? 35ltr? Or whatever.... Could go with an electric pump but like this simplr idea.... Would appreciate your help / ideas....I'm running std vm26 mikunis.... Anybody running a fuel pump on a 350ypvs engine? If so wat type? Cheers Paul

It's an after market bike tap...8mm fuel flow its more than adequate....better than standard! with a full tank it works fine just when fuel level drops I have starvation issues due to reduced fuel head pressure in the tank! Need a pump to aid fuel flow when level gets to same height as fuel feed to carbs......

Is the fuel cap venting properly and not causing a vacuum ? Why didnt i think of that? Doh! I'll run it without the cap and see if that works! I've got a new aero cap in the tank so should be fine... But worth a go....cheers mate....

Still no joy :-( it's only the pressure of a full rank of fuel that's making it work! Any answers to questions posed in previous posts much appreciated Cheers ....

I don't think a pump is the answer - very complicated to rig it up and you'd need a return loop or very accurately mapped varaible speed pump for it not to just flood the carbs.
Are there any restrictions (in line filters) which are dropping pressure more than normal?

Remember if you are using a 8mm tap you need to use 8mm fuel pipe no point in fitting a biget tap then still using the same pipes you had on befor and if its a single out let like TZ etc you need to use a 8mm splitter as well .
