can anyone give me some advice my lc is a pig to start think ive got a weak spark (doesnt look too bright ) if i pour petrol down the plug holes sometimes it will start when its going its runs ok ish top end seems fine runs a bit rough at low revs.if its spark wots the favorite culprit .ive changed the plugs and coil didnt know wot to try next cdi or stator.help please

Sounds like you need to strip and clean the carbs matey.

ive cleaned the carbs and balanced them (when i finally got it to run)new br8es plugs but the spark is quite hard to see in daylight ive never noticed this (i have better things to do of an evening)just wondered if any one had had this before(wots the fav for a weak spark)

The spark is not brill on these models anyway, same as on the air cooled bikes, it is hard to see in the daylight.

ive cleaned the carbs and balanced them (when i finally got it to run) When you rebuilt the carbs did you fit the correct float bowls to correct bodies? They are different, the carb with choke should have this bowl fitted it has a small brass jet located in the hole ringed at thew bottom of the photo. Non choke side looks similar but the hole is blocked. OEB

yes ive got the bowls on on the right way round .ive made that mistake before tho and that took me weeks to sort out ;D

you would be surprised how many NEW plugs are duff,try an old set u know work,otherwise,i cant see it being cdi,as usualy you have no spark,might be coil braeking down?if u are sure carbs are ok,check whole ignition system,sorry cant be more help.good luck!!!!
