hello all doe anyone know if 84 crank casings are the same as 92 bike. ive just bought a 92 engine complete and i want to strip it and rebuild it with the original 84 casings?

As every one has said the later motors used electronic tacho so had no mechanical drive.
Ok if your 84 cases still have them in or you can pick them up on ebay every so often.
Cases marked 1UA or 1WT don't have the drive but it is simply blanked off so can be retro fitted.
Cases marked 4CE from the R are different as hole for the tacho drive has not been cut but should be able to get a machine shop to do this.
