With the rgv forks/swinger etc getting increasing more expensive/hard to come by, I'm looking at other options, has anyone any experience with the zxr 400 as a Donner bike and are there any major problems compared to the rgv, cheers

There's deffo been zxr front end in the LC.
Not sure about the back.
Get in touch with Nigel Kimber of NK Racing if you don't get the answers you need here.
But as with all things.
If you use a big enough cheque book, it'll be made fit.

Front end is easy enough, a simple spacer under the bearing and weld in ( make lower ) the stop lock. Then there is the hard bit's like getting the clocks to mount neatly or use alternative clocks, headlight, cable routing, ignition switch. ZXR mudguards are like rocking horse poo. The rear end has been done a few times before, you got the problems of it's too wide, chain alignment, shock link/mount etc. Also if there is enough clearance for the exhausts. Sounds quite simple on paper Keeping it neat is the hard bit. If I was to build another RD it would be an original F2 but with a different rear wheel & shock, and a RWU front end.
