Just got one off ebay.
It has needle roller bearings in the dog bone attachment. Is this normal or do they have a placcy bush as standard? I have some very good dog bones which I have tried with it and there is a still a bit of play so I will be looking to change the bearing / bushes.
I had a look in Norbos shop and there is an image of plastic bushes for dog bones.
Just want a bot of advice because I will be replacing them.
Cheers

Plastic is the standard fitment, I think that some really early ones may have had metal.

Hi Simon,
Thanks for the info. I think this came from an F1 so maybe the needle rollers could have been original fit?
Cheers

I have an F2 and the dog bones have a plastic fit, they are really tight and mine broke to pieces when trying to get them out of the Swinging arm. Norbo has them for £18 for 2. To be honest they need to have a bearing on them.

Mine (N2) were nylon (as orignial) and completely seized with the dog-bone ends very rusty. I had the dog-bones machined down to remove the rust and got some phospher bronze bushes made up to suit with "sliding fit" clearances. Also got new seals to suit from a local bearing and seal supplier.
Have not put it all back together yet, but hopefully it wil be better than standard.
