I've just replaced the fork seals on my F2. The one in the Haynes manual didn't have the same types of fork as mine. Mine are flush at the top with the air valve central. So two questions. How are you supposed to put fork oil in accurately. And How do you get the forks apart if you wanted to replace the springs. I didn't try to take them apart any further as I thought I'd best ask the experts... Any help greatly appreciated.
And has anyone ever tried to run a thin feeler guage around between stanchion and fork seals to cure leaking seals? Seen this suggested on other websites, seems too easy if it works.

the lc2 i believe has angled air valves.the f2 is covered in the rear section of the haynes manual. overfill the forks by a few cc to recommended, then get a syringe, with pipe on it,a piece of coat hanger or sumthing like that, bend a right angle one end, then cut the oil height from the right angle down the rod. if you get what i mean. cut the pipe to same length as coat hanger thingy, sit the hanger thing into fork so angle sits on top of leg, then draw out the excess oil with the syringe. make sure the fork is vertical. Hope you get what i mean

Never looked at the back of the manual! It's not mentioned in the index Mr Haynes. Thanks for pointing this out and the tip with the bent wire. Now I can't wait for the weekend to get this done. Cheers Mellow.
