So my lc came with no clocks , i managed to snag rev counter off evilbay and wanna test that everything works, the rev counter itself was easy enough , but i was wondering if there was a way to test the temp gauge without having to hook it all up and have a temp sender connected ?

AFAIK if you connect the gauge to the loom, turn the ignition on & ground the lead that should connect to the temp sender the gauge should read full/high/in the red. HTH OEB

Thanks for the replies guys, as the loom is in bits for cleaning and rewrapping and the wires had been chooped on the gauge me and a mate i did mechanics with studied the wiring diagram and made up a makeshift mini loom for the gauge , so 2 bits of wire and a 10a fuse worked a treat if you can't just plug and test
