Thread from the dead. Seen as the forum doesnt like 3 letters in the search engine (Mk1) i'll reopen this one. It would appear that in the same situation. I have a spark and the engine will run but, the charging system isn't very good. Think i have the 2 extra white wires coming out of the right side (white/red and a white/green) Not getting much over 2.0 V from the 3 white wires. Any ideas guys? Can anyone identify what Mk stator this is please.

I've been talking with JackUp and from the part number he's confirmed that the fly wheel is a Mk2 (1GM) Here's a pic of a Mk1 stator he sent me. The large coil is in a completely different place. Thanks for the reply's by the way.

This bike gets more and more fun each time i work on it. *throws more money into the pit*
So got a replacement stator and flywheel (Thank you JackUp) Came to fitting it and as i'm sorting through the mess also know as ''the loom'' some of the wire colours don't match up, So i trace them back down the line where they chance back to the colours they should be. Traced them back to the CDI where they change colour again before they go into the CDI unit.
Looks like some past owner has fitted a CDI to match whatever stator they could get there hands on, and butchered the loom in the process.

Hahaha no probs JackUp. If i went on this way i might as well buy a whole bike off you.
The loom looks pretty clean and new under all the layers of electric tape soall being well I think i can rescue it with a Mk1 CDI and some spare wire, Hopefully arriving sometime next week.
Just out of interest, Does anyone know what the cdi is connected to the loom with? is it a 2x3 block connector?

Just an update, Mk1 CDI and stator fitted, loom de-butchered.
All working and charging as it should, smelling like a 2 stroke should : )
Just need to get my forks back from the fixers and she should be back on the road.
Thanks for everyone's help.
