Just a couple of small marks here and there so I was hoping to get a small touch up pot, thin down the paint and blow in with my air brush so I won't need much

I would have thought that matching to the original Yamaha white might not be the best option as many tanks have been resprayed with what could be a slightly different shade. Even if the tank has original paint it is likely to have faded.
You could take the tank to your local car insurance repairer, try the largest in your area, they'll be able to tell which white the tank is and possibly let you have a match pot.

Most large paint shops don't want to help as its not worth them wasting thier time if you are just after a tiny 20ml bottle

Peugeot bianca white is a good match. All my panels are sprayed with that now. You could try it.

This is one of the reasons I painted my 31k hybrid as I did.
Didn't want the pearl as it would be a nightmare to match and wanted something brighter so went for plain white. It is the white that is the base that all white shades are mixed from so any spray shop has it and is very white, not blue or creamy.
Had about 4 different panel done years apart and all identical and easily touched up.

Yes I do see your point midlifecrisrd but mine is all original paint so not really an option Cheers arrow that's a good tip I shall remember that one I was just hoping some one could recommend a good original colour match touch up? as its going through my air brush it goes on so thin that I should be able to blend it in OK allowing for a bit of fade
