Do all bikini faired 31ks have tapered fork tubes at the top i have two in rebuild mode and 1 has straight tubes the second tapered has 1 been an f1. cheers mark

should all be tapered but doesn't mean it has the original forks or early forks with later stanchions.
lc2 used the single piston calipers that don't fit the later bottoms.

i am no expert but mine has tapered and when i was talking to a guy at the uttoxeter show explaining i had just bought a 31K, one of the first questions he asked was has it got tapered fork legs, when i said it had he said that's lucky having standard, so i am guessing they all should have

F1 & N1 31k stanchions are straight.

If you mean the reduced diameter of the stanchion between the top and bottom yokes, it seems that the 1983 LC2 had this but not on the 1984 LC2 as shown here : www.rd350lc.net/pageCURIOSITIES.htmOn my 1983 LC2 this HAS got the reduced diameter stanchions Tone
