Just started building my engine. Feels great to put something together raher than tearing it apart. The G/C shaft has wear where it passes through caseing. The oil seal area looks ok. It it worth relacing with a new one? Cheeers

Actually Norbo has them on for a Very fair price. It won't hurt much at all.

If the shaft is in that state I hope your changing the casing bush at the same time.
Wouldn't fancy finding it's knackered after the cases are back together.

I agree with midlife i changed mine for peace of mind and it really is simple to do and for the sake of a couple of quid it makes sense.

Is the bush avilable? I thought it was part of the casing. Do you need to press it out or can you tap it out with a drift?

Easy to replace the bush. Just chilled it down in the freezer and it went in easy peezy. Just did mine.
