My original kidney clocks are well beyond repair - investigating if I could fit FZR 400 or 600 instrument clusters as i saw this on a hybrid. Has anybody done this? Will the speedo drive need changed, wiring loom connections etc? Or will a set of F2 instruments be more straight forward to fit? I could fit a Vapour dash quite easily but want to retain the retro look . Ideas, suggestions welcome

You can fit N1 style clocks : but you would need the correct bracket to fit them to : The other thing is that you would need to adapt the LC2 wiring to work the tacho as the LC2 is mechanical driven and nearly everything else afterwards is electically driven, pulses off the CDi usually. You could probably fit F2 clocks as well but you'd have to make up a mounting bracket for them.

Forgot to mention, if you use fzr clocks the speedo cable exits the clocks at a different angle so you may need a longer cable.

thanks for the info guys - certainly got me thinking. Making a bracket should not be a problem, like the idea of an electronic tacho. Blank off the drive and one less cable to route.
thanks
