My pal bought a 1971 Yamaha R5 (350) recently, which has a later model bottom end fitted. We think its from a 250E. Could anyone confirm this - the engine code is 1A2. Also, would a 250E have electronic ignition or points? What should the code be on an R5?
Lastly, where is the best place for information on this model - they seem quite rare? Thanks in advance, Bill.
