After what seems like a lifetime of polishing i am nearly happy with my foot peg hangers, however, i am struggling to get the channel between the front foot peg mount and the main body of the hanger polished. Has anyone used the small dremel mops, are they any good or do they just fall apart, or can you advise on any other method of getting into that most troublesome of areas polished

You can get a hard fibour white one for a dremmel they work well to get in to the small areas.

Thats damned fine polishing mellow, I have got the plain faces nice and bright it's just that little channel i need doing.
I am dropping my fork lowers off at my mates for vapor blasting on saturday and i am going to see how well they come up before i decide to polish them, i am thinking i will end up doing them as well.

OMFG mellow, you polished all that with a Dremel!? ;D Normally you use a 120 (or so) mm polishing rotor/buffer on a fairly powerful tool such as a big bench grinder or powerdrill, and that's time consuming enough lol.

yeah they can be shite.the trick is to not have it too fast or press too hard I used a variety of These in cone and roller shape and the hard felt mop and wheel 3 fold soft felt mop Here They did do a medium felt mop too but i cant find it there at the mo. but this one should do the job too

A dremmel is a slow way of polishing I use a 4" polishing mop on a drill held in the vice & it took 30 minutes to polish up all the components to my L/H rear sets, if you have a new mop they are so soft they get into all the nooks & crannies

Nice work bro, billet aluminum is a right b**tard to get shiny, but billet parts don't "need" to be as shiny as cast aluminum bits anyway imo.

It used to come in a tube like autosol.I've had mine years. its a lot finer than autosol and pink in colour, pretty much the same looking as autoglym metal polish. Got mine from local bike shop but it seems it only comes in a bottle now as a creme just google it mate.i think the cheapest i found it was trusty old ebay
