Looking at a project for the coming year, front end is a possibility, or digital clocks, but, for the moment what forks could I use, other than 31K to upgrade the look and feel of my 350LC but still keep the original iconic front wheel?

Think XJ550 might be an option, 35mm same as lc2 but uses lc style wheel, even think the calipers are the same fitting.
They are slightly longer as they go through the yokes F2 style.

i have got f2 ones on mine with f2 callipers and front muddy you would need to change the top yoke if you want to keep original clocks though

So If I understand correctly, 31K (LC2) forks with a yoke swap / mod will still take a 4L0 front wheel / muddy and calipers? - ;D I have 31K calipers on bike already, so how do I tell a genuine set of 31K forks, seem to have read that there are 2 types of YPVS forks some are waisted and some are not? LC2 - F2 -N - how do you tell? A little bit of help before I start loking at Ebay will help me here? many thanks in advance of any advice

Later YPVS forks have longer parallel stanchions (they protrude thro' the top yoke to mount the clipon bars) & the caliper mounts are 83mm centres allowing you to easily fit some TZR/FZR/R1-Z etc 4 pot calipers. As above. LC2 forks fit and look same as LC ones unless an Anorak. Although the LC fender will needs a pair of spacers 3/4mm each siode, under it's mounting flanges as LC2 is wider through there. Later Valvie forks have the wider caliper bolt spacings allowing for a range of more powerful calipers, if that matters?. One can insert the Later Stanchions onto the LC2 'waisted' shiny tubes/triples combo in order to not have to deal with 'too long tubes' or a clock mounting bodge.

I Won a set of LC2 forks and yokes off of EBay, will source the bits to service them, top / bottom bushes and seals, then look for a few days to do the swap over
Thanks for the heads up Bare, will also make up some spacers for the front muddy too..
Bare if F2 bottom legs will fit my new top tubes, I assume that 4l0 front wheel will also still slot in?
Another improvement to the grin factor...
