Has anyone ever tried powder coating exhausts ?
looked on the web and i have read that you can get high temp powder coat for this task.
Thinking of giving it a try because they don't get as hot as 4 stroke do they.
Any ideas or past experience helpful cheers

Powder coat liquifies at around 200 degrees so no good for exhausts. I once had the case of an old toaster done and it lasted about 3 minutes.
We have a powder coat plant on my shop floor at work (very handy)
I've become somewhat knowledgeable on the subject ;D

Have seen hi temp powder coat advertised before but never used it. Googled it and found this www.interpon.com/en/Appliance/Cooking/Heat+Resistant.htmSo apparently good for 550 c Did the rear 3/4 of the RZ pipes on my N2 in matt powdercoat and the down pipes in BBQ paint, seemed fine. Steve

Just had my LC421 pipes ceramic coated by ProCoat just outside Sydney and pick them up next week, a mate has has his 500 pipes done by them and they have been great after much use.
