Got fed up beating forks to death so carried on taking engine apart. When I took the crankout I noticed that the R/H bearing locater pin had mostly broken off and scored the case. What can I do if anything??

The bearing pins are only there to stop the outer race from spinning, when you reassemble apply some Loctite 641 bearing retainer. This is quite common as alot of the bearings only have a small amount of pin sticking out & make sure the castle seal is round the right way as some manuals are wrong. Castleations face the bearing.

Thanks, I'll loctite it back when the cranks done as I don't know any French persons! Thanks for the tip on the seal. The old one was the right way round. Cheers.
