has anybody had a look on the german e bay site? or better still bought from there? there are 5 powervalves on there and one 350 elsie, nobody bidding on any of them and priced between 1500 euro and 1800 euro so between £1200 and £1500 mick

theres an original, 4lo lc on there uncut rear guard and even still got the centre stand on it

postage? hire a van, ferry tickets and duty free booze and cigs is the way to go

Used the german bay many times, postage is sometimes quicker than royal snail uk.
Anything you need translating just use babel fish, most languages are on there.

If you log onto the HM Customs and Excise (VAT) website I think they publish the maximum amounts you can bring back. BE AWARE though IT MUST BE FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY. My mate got stopped with some cigs/tabacco and booze, when questioned he admitted that some of it was for his brother - they confiscated the lot!! Other mate with him said it was definately ALL for himself and he had no probs. Live and learn.

also bring the same kind of cigs back makes it a lot easier to convince them its for you

I've bought from German Ebay, no problems just thought the prices were bit steep for parts...but I am Scottish!

me too , i bought a complete lock set for £30 and it arrived quickly and it does help to have a german next door neighbour !!!

I bought two engines at the same time this year. Postage from Germany was cheaper than the one from the uk! German engine was in much better condition too, less or no salt on the roads?
