The YPVS servo motor on my LC2 doesn't cycle through the self clean movement when you turn on the ignition. I need to check the servo motor as per the Haynes manual to make sure it's OK but my question is if this is OK and I need to change the control box, can I use the control box from any model or does it need to be an LC2 one? If I can use any is there a preferred one?

At the moment the engine isn't in the frame as I am restoring the bike (Pic's to follow) so the pulley is just turning in fresh air.

You realy need the controll box for that model there are 3 boxes LC2, F&N1 & F&N2, R. they all have difernt plugs on and open the yalves at diferent times. Thats not to say you couldnt fit any to any but they wont work as well as the propper one for that model .

Is that to do with the porting as the barrels on my LC2 have been changed by a previous owner to ones from a N2/F2 model (1UA), so maybe I should use a box from that?
