Hi, Thought I'd say hi and post a couple of pics of the bike I've just got. I bought it off a guy I work with who's from Poland. He blow the bike up about 10 years ago took the head and barrel off and left it in Poland. We did a deal and got it couriered back, which took 6 mths! As you can see it's a bit of a mess but got matching numbers and looks like a genuine 350. I have lots of questions so will be picking yours brains. It's been 30 years since I last owned one Cheers Webbo Delivery of Elski! Was delivered at 2.00 am No more walks for the dog! Took the head off and this is what I found

Leave the plate on then you won't have to worry about getting Tax, MOT or insurance like the rest of the Poles that drive around over here

If you think the number plate is cool you should see the log book. It's like a passport. I think it must be a German spec, which would mean it's restricted in the exhausts I think. Have you noticed the rear light? It's a bit wierd, oblong instead of square. I have the other bits for it, I intend to bring it back to original. It was a White/Blue one before someone purplized it.

Thanks for the replys. Norbo, I expect I'll be after plenty of parts. Paddyontour, thanks she's a very inquizative collie great fun to have around. Well I spent the evening taking it apart and it's not good. The piston had siezed and has bent the conrod and bits of piston are inbetween the webs of the crank. The cylinder is badly scored and I'm not sure a rebore will clear it. It's still on std bore at 25K. Anyone know of a good crank rebuilder in the Bristol area and I need someone to look at the cylinder to see if it's salvagable. If not I'm after a l/h cyclinder!

Ouch,I'd be pretty upset at finding a set of original bore 350 barrels & they were stuffed, which they look like they are.Deep gouges there..... Does anyone resleeve these barrels yet? Good luck with it,on the whole,it looks like you scored a good buy there.

Surely that's no more than you were expecting, after 10 years and a blow up, a crank and rebore is a must, just a bit of a bummer as it looks like you need a set of barrels now as well.
Hope you got it at a good price to offset the rebuild. Good luck with the project, seems to be a few of these bike appearing from Poland and Lithuania nowadays, keep the pics coming.

That cylinder is bad about as bad as it gets but if its on standard now i think it will clean up but you will have to go out quight a lot and may be dress the ports a little but asoomimg its it on standard i think it can be saved,

Theres a place called Langcourts in Weston Super Mare, I thought I'd get them to have a look as theyr'e down the road. I sort of knew what I was getting for £500 but it's always a bit of a shock when you see the damage. At least it will keep me ammused in the winter evenings.
