After a long time drooling over RD's I am looking for a project bike for the winter months ahead. The internet is certainly full of information! Which model and prices are a real minefield. I am leaning towards an F1or F2 - are the later bikes to be avoided? I have rebuilt various strokers - last one was an Aprilia RS250. Any advice would appreciated please. cheers!

F2 would be easiest as the F1 is rarer (more expensive) and certain parts like loom/bars/yokes/original exhausts hard to find and expensive.
F2 more common and things like tanks easier to come by.

Hi m8 and welcome to THE Forum As the others said above, the F2 would be the better bet (and they are the fastest ;D ) The F1 i would love again but rarer and expensive for parts. What we could do with here is niks can And they mostly all end up at some point looking a bit like raves pic

The F2 is by far the best of the Rd in the range range allthough the older LC are more populer . Depens on what you have to spend and if your going for a standard bike or a speciel.
