Is it possble to polish out, or some other method of removing light scratches from the plastic engine case (Sprocket side)
Or am i being dumb as usual?

Hi,
Can be polished just like alloy. Have used autosol or brasso in the past.
If it's deep you can use some fine wet and dry first.
Be careful if using power tools as too much heat build up can damage it.

Cheers steve, i thought i had read somewhere you can do them but wasn't sure. Would you use a light buffing mob on a bench grinder converted to a polisher or would that be too severe?

Bench grinder is too fast, if you can get a variable speed drill that will do the job

have sprayed mine in the past with plasticote gloss black, came up like new, will need to be done in the warm this time of year tho.
