How Do All I fitted a reusable copper head gasket to my LC and i noticed it makes the head sit off the barrels by 1 or 2 mm's is this normal ? will it make a difference ? If so any advice as to what i need o do to compensate for this or am i just being paranoid ? Thanks wb :-)

Ah ok i seen them in Norbo's shop and one came up cheap so bought it thinking it would be straight forward , but hey that will teach me , back to the standard one then , thanks for the advice Lthe7th. wb :-)

Got it on fleabay "supposedly " for an LC , noticed Norbo doesn't have it up these days in the LC section ? I torqued it down using the correct torque settings think i will swap to standard for now just to be on the safe side , thanks again . wb

Why the mention that one needs reprofile the cyl head simply to use a sheet copper HG?? Seems nonsensical to me, have I missed something here?

u dont need to reprofile the head at all i use one with no problems at all..........just use a thin smear of sealent on it job done

I'v never done copper lc head gaskets just gen yam and ones in patten kits . i may look in to it but at this time ive never sold them.

copper gaskets are re-usable were as others like composite type gaskets are not.

just clean them up and reuse them wen needed
