Just bought 2 pairs of used exhausts pipes from a YPVS they both have silver cans:
The first set of pipes have a removal can held on by 3 allen screws the number on the pipe is 51L 14753 and the Can No is 51L 14711
The 2nd set of pipes have the cans are welded on with a small screw on the bottom to remove the baffle there is only one number it is on the can and is 1UA 14711.
Any idea on this pipes please ? before I fit them, also the baffle on pipe no 2 is impossible to remove, after the screw has been removed as there is no way to grip the baffle any idea's please.
Thanks Guys
Philip

Hi m8. they sound like F2 pipes. the one with the screw underneath is actually just a drain hole. The baffles dont come out. The 3 bolt fixing ones are from an import or l8r bike i believe.Have a look at my F2 rebuild thread and it should have the same pipes

Hi, the ones with removable cans are RZ250R (import version of the 350 YPVS) pipes

caustic soda mix with water.leave it in overnight, give it a good shake then empty.its a pain in the arse tryin to get it out of the can though due to the internal channels

The 51L ones are from Japanese model RZR 250. These carry Engine/Chassis # prefixed with 29L, has jointed Carbs, and is acclaimed to have the best CDI amongst RZs.
Incidentally, I have one of these restored to specs recently.
