The 6" bench mounted wire wheel is superb for cleaning ya rusty nuts; Bit of a tip though... don't wear latex gloves when doing the fiddly stuff; That was a close one!!!!

Tank, panels and wheels are down at Dream Machine at the moment being done Marlboro Yamaha - dayglo orange and pearl white... Just like the one they did which I had over 20 years ago.

That colour scheme still rocks. I have the same model and colour as yours, mine is going back standard, but you are well ahead of me i will be lucky to get anywhere being on the road next year.

Water bottle had seen better days; But a liberal use of kitchen detergents, some assorted nuts and washers and a good few vinegar strokes, managed to get it to come up a treat;

Actually dragged me in but fortunately they don't have too much torque so my upper body stalled it no problem, but was just a bit awkward to switch it off with the other hand... Should know better really seeing as though I am responsible for the health and safety of fabrication workshop operatives! (don't tell anyone)

Oil tank cleaned and installed (new cap from Norbo); New set of Renthalls fitted but not too sure about these. Got some Chromed LC bars from Norbo to keep the retro vibe.

Posted this one elsewhere on the forum, but just for good order, seat made by Tony Archer in Huddersfield (£60 bargain). Just gave him a 20year old photo of my previous Guiliari seat and hey presto - a modern day interpretation;

Managed to pick up an old pair of Microns of ebay a few years back for what I though was a bargain. Got them back from being stripped at the chromers and bad news.... we have a few areas for improvement; Not sure what to do. Probably weld 'em up and paint them. I feel a phone call to Gibson coming on.....

Now for the big one.... The engine....not in too bad condition but only seems right to give it a full strip and rebuild seeing as though it hasn't beed started by all accounts since about 1993!!!; I think I can feel a visit to Mr Abbey being the order of the day.

That colour scheme still rocks. I have the same model and colour as yours, mine is going back standard, but you are well ahead of me i will be lucky to get anywhere being on the road next year. I'd been toying with the idea of taking it back to fully standard but came to the conclusion that I'd spend a fortune getting it 100% and then probably start modifying it so just going straight to the modifications instead. Hopefully bodywork will be ready soon at Dream Machine so need to get my finger out a bit more and think about getting the engine done, and the wiring loom and.....
