Thought I would share with you how I got into LC's (as I am on 24 posts so this takes me to thee magic 25). As a fresh faced 19-year-old back in the mid 80's me and a mate left Scotland for the bright lights of London. By this point I already had a few bikes starting from 16. Got to London going through the job pages when there it was add for a dispatch rider, bike supplied.... that’s the one for me! Went along for an interview got the job and my god!! The bike supplied was a brand new RD250LC in mars-bar colours, my boss at the time said if you want a set of microns on it no problem, I did with some racing reeds as well. I was hooked. ;D

That's nothing - In August 1984, I started a new job as a sales rep for an importer of Italian Bathroom equipment. They had ordered a new car for me ( Audi 80 ) but on the day I started with them, it hadn't arrived and the dealer said it would be at least two weeks. " Don't worry " said my new boss, " you can use one of my Maseratis".
Yes, that's right - HE LENT ME A F*****G MASERATI TO DO MY SALES CALLS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the end, my Audi didn't show up for 6 weeks - the best 6 driving weeks of my life ! I swanned around in this Quattroporte like I was a millionaire, every day praying with all my might that my new Audi didn't show up !!
