Hi,
can you powder coat the engine cases? I am a bit worried if the rubber engine mounting that are a press fit in the upper casing will be damaged.

You would have to remove those to powder coat the top case or they'll melt when they go into the oven. They aren't the easiest bushes to remove either so beware.

Normally aqua blast the crankcases myself. But I have seen them powder coated. But as said would need to replace the rubber dampers.

A few people have had them done and i'm pretty sure they didn't remove them. Personally i don't like how it covers the engine number, looks messy The rubber will melt when it goes in the oven to bake the powder.

Had mine powder coated many years ago (well about 7 actually) don't remember removing the rubbers though. Had them done at Redditch Shotblasting-worth giving them a call as they may have the answer.

Well worth getting them done. Mine were done by the previous owner and they look fantastic! They are also really durable. The only problem I had was that the barrel drain plugs were still in place and also powder coated. This made it impossible to use a normal 12mm socket to undo them and they now look a bit tatty after using various ring/open ended spanners on them.
