Currently my LC/YPVS race bike has a stripped down F2 loom and runs total loss, which is a bit of a pain in the arse to be honest as I’ve lost the powervalves a couple of times when the battery has died. Normally around Cadwell for some reason, so I want to run a charging system to keep the battery topped up.
Anyway I’ve tried using the F2 Rectifier, but even with doubled up earths it runs rather hot, so the plan is to use an LC one which seem to be indestructible! The wiring is pretty straightforward apart from the extra brown wire which I think links into the lighting circuit and I assume tells the rectifier when the load increases?
I haven’t got any lights obviously, I have a separate switch for the ignition and one for the powervalves, the battery is the small household alarm type, so any ideas on where to connect the extra brown wire?

Thanks John, I figured that's how it would work normally but thanks for confirming, it's the lack of lights that are causing the problem, I'm wondering if I just need to join the brown and red wires together, as long as it charges at 13odd volts that would be enough, I guess there is only one way to find out!
