I seem to have sabotaged my own thread about this one Alec's forum so i'll ask sensibly this time... Ive learnt my lesson... ;D Im about to put new oil in my 1985 Variable Damper forks, so the same ones that lasted until the end of production, and what id like to know is what weight oil and how much is the go these days. I have the manual, but wondered if anyone had any hints and tips to improve these forks with heavier oil or more of it etc. ta.

for me personaly i allways up the grade and the amount . so 290cc per leg meens they wont dive down as far under heavy braking or when the wheel comes down after a wheele. secondley i up grade the oil as well I mix the boox 10 with some 15 and do a 50/50 mix and use this i fined if slows down the rebound and soots my kined of rideing.
