Hi all -new to this bike-cant find a decent workshop manual anywhere-Haynes is not that good if you have no previous experience of this bike-and a bit of a numpty-still I am learning as I go.Can anyone tell me please,is there suposed to be a spring on the end of the front brake light switch between the end of the switch & the brake lever? If so any ideas where I can get one.If not how does the switch work. Thanks Mike

The switch its self has not spring but the lever should have a small spring on it is it for an F2 with the small box type or an 31K with a long leed leeding to the loom type.

Hi mike, what model ?, as LC11 YPVS and the later YPVS switch's are different. Theres no external spring on the end of the switch, if you look at the end of the switch there should be a little black plastic spring loaded plunger which moves in and out as you operator the brake lever. Have a look on Norbo's main site under "One stop LC shop", photos of both types in the YPVS page if you scoll down.

Hello paulo-its a 1988 rd 350 ypvs-I have just bought a front brake switch for this model of lc crazy, same as the old one that came off,so i know its the right one.I cant see how it works though as I have fitted it and the lever doesn;t interact with it in any way. There is only 1 screw that holds it on & 2 push fit terminals,so there cant be many different ways round that it fits.At the moment I have got the black rubber booted switch bit pointing towards the brake lever

After a bit of 'ead scratchin & looking at photo several times have managed to fit correctly-feel chuffed with myself-pathetic really that something so simple could make you feel so good -anyways big thankq for your photo-would never have done it without it -perhaps I should learn from this & take photo's of things next time before removing them
