so im restoring some rd125s,having sent off for most v5 for them i get one v5 that says frame no. 1gm------------ but the engine i didnt get with the bike says 35A----------,what engine is this from? i know the 10w,12a,1gm,1hk,etc but not seen that before ant clues?

Its not a problem if you have an import lump in your bike mate the only thing that metters is that the frame and log book match .
Have you tryed it in the frame to make sure it even fits

No mate the engine wasn't with the frame,i just didn't know what the 35a was,so its a 125LC import engine number? Also norbo on the subject of logbooks,when you get a v5 and people change the colour of the bike and have it changed,i suppose the colour could have changed lots of times,is there a way of finding out the exact colour the bike was before any changes

IF its a uk bike u can call Yamaha Motor Uk at brooklands surrey,ask for customer serviceswith the frame and engine number and they will tell u when it was registered and wot colour. If its an import they may not be that helpful.Ive phoned a few times and the guy was very helpfull
