Hi All, I'm a newbie on here having returned to 2 strokes recently with the purchase of a tatty RD250LC which I'm going to do up. I've had the bodywork sprayed white and am trying to fit Kenny Roberts decals. ???So far I've wasted one of the tank stickers trying to get it to fit round the curves (doh!) anyone got any advice as to how best to tackle the job ? I'll try and post some piccies of the project soon as I can. Cheers, Rob

mate ive been there !its one of the most difficult decals to put on,what u need to do is get a spray bottle and put a wee drop of washing up liwuid in it the rest water and spray the tank with this solution .it will give u time to get the decal in position and u can move about until ur happy.when its in position squegge the water out frpm the decal-its easier said than done good luck

Yeah i've been using the fairy liquid trick and it does work but the problem is getting the sticker passed the indent in the tank. My mate who's done the spray job says that the sticker should be shaped to accomodate the shape of the tank. I had a look at your posting of the build of your bike. That is what I'm aspiring to. If I can get mine half as good as yours I'll be chuffed. Good work Fella.

Cheers Fingermaus. Wish I'd seen these before starting coulda saved a few quid (and tears). Spoke to Image Works in Ilkeston today. Very helpful and luckily I'm heading to Nottingham this weekend so I'm going to call in with the tank.
