Anyone have any idea what part number the bearings are in a 350lc metmachex swing arm ? (blue chain adjusters type) because as i have it apart i might aswell put new ones in and can't seem to find any marking on the ones that i just pulled out of it ...

Take the old ones with you to your local bearing shop and they will sort you out.

Thanks for the replys guys, only the images of TA2530Z don't match what i pulled out of mine , the lc has been stood for over 10 years and i'm pretty sure they are the original bearings in there (i know the last 2 owners lol ) Here's what came out of mine : Metmechex say that i need a new kit for £76 with all new internals for it, but i'm hoping i can find a way to not have to pay all that money out when i have clutches and tires etc to buy for it ....

Thats defo not a TZxxxxxx bearing... its more like what you normally use on steering heads. There should be some numbers on the inner edge and also on the cup thats still in the bike... you will need those or a decent way to measure it for ID, OD and height.

not sure what type of metmachex swing arm it is then, as using needle rollers, tube and spacer/ roller on mine. Sorry cant help with the tapered bearings you have there, but a good bearing stockist would deffo be able to identify these for you Robin

JonW yeah thats what i thought when i took them out, and the races are being a pain and don't want to shift, will give them another go this afternoon while the forks are draining, man the oil in those is going to be lovely smelling after over 10 years lol robin , yours sounds more like the kit metmechex is now offering as replacements, i'm tempted to just get the new kit if it makes life easier for me in the future ...but nearly £80 is the price of a complete clutch which i also need, kinda between a rock and a hard place now lol

Well the old ones need to come out to fit the new ones, so batter em off and see what they say.

LOL not at all mate, i never do stuff like that now im older n wiser than when i was 17 LOL.... but saying that you will probably find that some ham fisted bugger has scagged up area where they fit and then they have settled in on the damage, so you will need some heat and some force to get em out. There are plenty of tales of how hard these things can be to remove, but heat and the right amount of tapping can work wonders.

Ahhhh to be 17 again, although that would still mean i was working on this lc because thats when the first of my mates bought it lol , anyways i shall get the heatgun out tomorrow and see if i can't get those races out and find some numbers because the bearings definitely don't seem to have anything on them (maybe they are so worn its disappeared lol )

So with a little heat and a tap from behind the races and spacers came out today If anyone is working with the same bearings they are koyo 03162 taper bearings and are about £8 delivered off ebay (simply want £26 each i think ) So thats the swingarm all stripped down, now to mirror polish it
