gday again, well have finally started getting into the motor on my 350lc, after taking off the head, barrels etc, the thing looks like it had been partially siezed before on the left hand side and i believe it needs a rebore and new pistons etc, now according to my haynes book it says oversize pistons are only available up to 1mm over, but i have seen them for sale bigger, my piston is 65mm so its been done a few times perhaps, id say i will have to go 1.25 or 1.5mm oversize, does this expose it to some problems or is there ample meat left to handle this? and what seems to come up the most is a brand name called Mitaka, are they any good? any recommendations?thanks in advance, cheers ken

You can go upto 2.5mm oversize so you would be fine with 1.5

thanks for the replies fellas, its answered some questions for me,ive just spent a bit more time having a closer look, im starting to think maybe cause it hadnt been started for so long and a bit of rust started at the bottom of the barrels and when it was kicked in the guts it had to free itself up a bit, the bore i think will be ok, maybe will hone it, but i think i need new piston kits in the 1mm oversize, the rings on one piston were tight as to the point of being stuck in there and the other ones were loose enough to spin around real easy, down the road one of my wifes avon customers is a a professional bike mechanic, i might get him to have a look for an opinion as well, its hard on the computer alone especially when im only starting out in this game, once again thanks.

NO ProX Pistons available?? They would be my first choice in an aftermarket cast piston. Piston /bore clearance is Critical (0.0020") Don't mess about... have a proven competent shop deal with the rebore to match the fresh pistons
