I know this has been covered before, but I've done a search and can't find anything - Can anyone give me the part number for the genuine Yam carbon reeds from the banshees...
I've got a set on the bike which I bought from TSS with new reed blocks and they've started to curl upwards! They've done less than 1500 miles - is this normal? - the genuine Yam steel ones were in the bike for nearly 20 years and still opened with a faint 'pop' if you used your finger to open them?

Genuine Yama banshee reeds are Fiberglass NOT carbon. Yama part # 2GU-13613-00-00 The OEM ones ARE durable :-) Also approx $25 for the full set from the dealers

All the non steel ones have a short best shelf life and start to lift after a while . You can allwayas try turning them around.

Cheers for the tip Norbo, I did think of flipping them over, but wasn't sure if they were 'one way only' as one of the corners on each set is cut off - as if to indicate that they go on one way, if that makes sense! I'll see how I go with the gen Yam ones and take it from there, I've ordered a set off Fowlers - £25 and they reckon I'll have them tommorrow!
