I hate this thread! its a sore subject with me at the moment. I have an old truck body which leaks, which i use to keep some of my work stuff in at the moment, and started trying to use the other end to do my build. trouble is it has no electricity and is damp and leaky. So i asked a mate of mine who is a builder to quote me to build a workshop/glorified shed at the top of my garden (with electricity) and was expecting a good price as he owes me a favour. He wants £2k which i feel is totally taking the p**s. I could build it myself but its a matter of time - what little spare time i have i want to spend on the bike build not the shed build.
So i'm more than a little jealous of your manspace's/workshops to say the least!!

Here's my 16x8 shed/workshop at the bottom of the garden; I have just finished revamping it inside as I have got a new toy; It's a 1950's Halifax, a copy of an American Atlas lathe. Always wanted a lathe for all those little bits and bobs when building a special. Total novice, so going to get some ally blanks at Kempton on Saturday and hopefully some tools to get me going. Eventually I want a bench polisher and a bench mounted sand blasting cabinet plus compressor so I dont have to farm so many jobs out. The bikes stay in the garage on the side of the house so I have a bit more room in the shed. Dusty

This is my place of peace. Could do with a lick of paint on the walls and floor. But no time for that carry on.

They are some job. Paid £300 for it in 2001. Never a minutes bother with it. Has wheels so can move about real handy too. Wouldn't do without one. You should watch out for the deals sealy tools do on them from time to time.
