Would twin R1 brakes be too good for the elsie causing the front to keep washing out or the forks to bend under braking too much ?

Hi mate, Harrison Billet do 4 pot replacements that bolt straight on, so no need for adapter brackets. Slightly expensive, but Santa's only around the corner, I'm eating all by green's and putting the toilet sit down, so you never know ;D.

Sorry to Threadjack, I checked out these calipers and ended up on a website called vintagebrake.com There was an article describing the ratio between master cylinder to wheel cylinder. I couldnt work out the ratios, perhaps someone can enlighten us here.

i sometimes get a bit confused every now and then,,, if you arent happy with a 30 year old bikes ways, why would you spend a fortune on making an attempt to make it compete with bikes of today? why not appreciate it for what it is and be content with a good example of an old bike?

I agree on some fronts as the only thing I will change is the brakes and rear shock. An Elsie may be old but tweeked she is still as fast as most bike to a ton and what with all the idiots on the road good brakes are a MUST !!

fair enough, im i hoping the new genuine yamaha mastercylinder, caliper kits, thanks norbo and stainless lines and new pads will be good enough,or at least be passable, ive said it before but 100mph is no good to me as i need my licence and the cops are everywhere, i like to get from 0 to the speed limit as quick as i can especially if there arent any cars infront of me,probably why i like stop light a bit so i can get to the front, probably safer being behind the clump of cars in the front and the clump you left behind at the lights,a bit off topic, sorry. see ya
