you can use some of that back to black stuff may be . If your gowing to spray it allways comes of and starts to look crappy . some times you can spray then wipe over with a cloth so its so thin it wont flake and that can work and give a better black back .

i give my black plastics a degrease, then wash then i use auto glym vinyl/rubber restorer (yellow labeled bottle) then soak the item with it and leave it for a day or so.then buff up with a duster.usually works first time but a second application may be needed

i did mine with fine wet and dry all over, after a degrease, sounds harsh, but it gets rid of any faded surface areas, and smooths out any scrapes and gouges, then a fine spray of clear laquer, its how i did this side panel , and my air box etc

i know this sounds bad but i have used nitromous in the past if the "black" item has deep scratches, wipe off with fine wire wool and wash off then use kennyroberts method with very fine wet and dry then a cuttin paste and finely baxck to black stuff.
