OK this might already have been talked about so sorry if it has. The 250LC that I have just finished seems to have a leak from the exhaust at the point where it joins the head. Its not the gasket as it has a new pair fitted. Looks like it is at the point that the pipes slide into one another. How do i solve this best?
Also are the pipes still meant to move when pulled back and forth?

Sounds like your not getting enough compression on the gaskets, sometimes the clamp bends so it may be worth trying two gaskets and see if this cures it, added with what Nick has posted it should do the trick.
Unless you have a crack in the header pipes near the join?
The pipes should not move once clamped.

OK I have orders both options two additional gaskets and some liquid gasket
Will let you know how I get on
