Ive lost all drive to the back wheel on my YPVS.... I can move the gear lever but just get a box of Neutrals... The clutch lever seems to be working the clutch ok.... The front sprocket is still attached.... What do you think could be the cause? What would you check first before i strip engine? Thanks for your help......

Can you feel the selector drum rotating & clicking as you try to select the gears or is there very little resistance as you move the gear change lever

Yep the least you need to do is whip the clutch cover off I found that if you pussed the gear shaft from the chain side you can actually disengage the slector claw on the clutch side Only if the clutch casing has been removed

Just got as far as taking clutch to bits and it's completely burnt out! Never having one of these engines before, if the clutch goes do you get no drive as if you've got a box of neutrals....

If it's completely burnt out I suppose so If you've got the clutch plates out try engaging the gears & turn the inner part of the clutch ( the bit thats on the end of the gear shaft ) this should turn the engine sprocket. If you can engage all 6 gears & neutral the gear box should be ok & you just need a new clutch. Norbo sells these I would use the HD clutch plates & springs.
