Any ideas on how to refurb the kickstart on 1981 250LC as I have bought the kit but have never removed the ball bearing.I would guess you prize out the bearing then pean the new one in?

Once apart Take the ball bearing out Behind that should Be a spring Remove spring grease it back up Jobs a gudun

Should come out on its own unless its gunged up if so try some wd 40.

it actually worked? I ask as it's often the arm knuckle that wiggles due to a worn out hole as well as a wear groove from the wee ball. A fresh clip/spring and ballbearing can't rectify that wear.

I did use a second thinner washer to help take up any slack and is now better than it was.

On a slack one I had Stretched the spring a bit Did the trick:)

I had to stretch the spring & put a thin plastic washer that I made onto mine to stop the bloody thing rattling and drivin me mad ;D and I tried a new refurb kit from Norbo, as bare said, the refurb kit can't repair the groove worn in the kickstart itself
