ive been toying with the idea of getting the hagon rear shock for both my 350 valve and my 250 lc. has anyone out there done the swap and is it worth the cost for the improved handling, like 280 quid a shot improvment. so anyone out there let me know what your veiws are, and will it stop it bouncing when cornering hard, i have at present got the original on the 250 set to one position from the top and i dont take passengers as the missis hates bikes

Davey, im also interested in this and would love to hear from someone who has tried the Hagon and the Nitron and some others and what their thoughts were. I find this too expensive a purchase to get wrong and would love some guidance.

Got a hagon on my 31k hybrid so can only comment on that.
Massive difference, original shock on hardest setting was like a pogo stick and weaved everywhere and bottomed out (15 st). First rode the finished bike with the standard and thought I'd wasted my money on the build.
Fitted the Hagon and left settings as it came out the box and bike was tranformed. No wallow and actually felt stable in the corners.
Nitron is more expensive but more adjustability as well as ride height adjustment. I felt it maybe slightly OTT for a road bike and ride height never bothered me as bike had the tie bars shortened so was high enough.
Didn't see the point of a fully adjustable rear and the not so adjustable Vj22 front.
We don't mind spending £200+ on sticky tyres that wear out fast but worry about spending a few hundred on a decent shock - no brainer to me.

I have a Hagon on my 31K (for the track), and I find it a real improvement over a saggy 20 year old shock. I have used it for 5 seasons now and no problem at all - I would recommend Hagon.

Don't Koni still make shocks, I'm sure I bought a new one off fleabay a couple of years ago, from memory, back in the day, they weren't too expensive either, (would that make them c##p now ?)

I bought one a few months ago and fitted it to my F2 - mahoosive improvement all round and the one I fitted was an old 2nd hand one I bought, so I can only imagine how much difference they make from new ;D The bike is much more stable in corners than it used to be, I would highly recommend them, I can't comment on the Nitrons' but they're meant to be better again! but for me, the hagon was well worth the money & it has a red spring, love red springs on a rear shock

i have a hagon . only done 500 milles on it massive improvement , but now put rgv front and back end on so it now for sale.
