Hi, Bought a 1983 RD YPVS LC2 a couple of years ago and am now getting started on a full restoration. I have the original pipes but ideally would like some proper expansion chambers. As I understand Micron is no longer available so my question is...... What others are out there and which is the best? Cheers
Reg.
P.S. Ideally in Stainless Steel.

Lomas make them in ST/ST but they are about £650 and are a race pipe . I cant realy think of any one elce who does st/st . I have hade sopme made before for members but they can take a while to get made .
Best thing would be have a look on ebay and see what comes up .

Kenny (TSA) does stainless, I have a set here... light as a feather! I also have a set of Gibson pipes I bought from a forumer (cheers m8!) which are also stainless... so they are out there, but are pricier than mild steel of course...

If you are getting expansions I don't suppose you want to get rid of your orginal pipes as i'm on the look out for a pair (mainly the right hand side) as mine are a little dinged at the end. PM me if you're interested.

I'd also say kenny (TSA) Got a set and they are awesome, will be getting another set for my stroker motor when fund allow, need to recover from the bill from TSS ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Kenny also does pipes in coated steel that does not need painted and will not rust. my choice would be for a stock bike -standard pipes or allspeeds for a tuned bike- tsa (kenny's pipes) or maybe nikkon or lomas. its personal preference mate

Was speaking to him earlier and he will have stainless pipes available in about 4 weeks. My standard motor with kenny's pipes was awesome, amazing the difference it made. Took them off and fitted Rz standard removable can pipes with race cans to sell it and could not beleive how much slower it was. Steve

To Everyone, just joined the forum and this was my first thread, overwelmed with the response, thanks for the info. Have already been in contact with kenny and higgspeed.
Wiseric, I live in Norway so I can send you the original pipes but it might cost a bit in freight.

mick abby has 2 designs of pipes. both work well on tuned and un tuned motors. mine sound great, and good performance too.
