how often should it be changed?
instead of buying a fancy vacume kit can i just change it with a milk bottle and a lengh of clear tubing (making sure tube is lower than fluid in bottle) ie keep pumping the m/c and topping up fluid making sure m/c doesnt get fully empty?
my rear brake has always been poor and on a inspection the fluid is almost black and streaky in the rear master cylinder.
the front appears ok in terms of colour but id like to change it for peace of mind as its atleast 3 years old and i believe the bike sat around most of its life before i got it so i expect its very old anyway and id like to breaks to be as good as they possibly can.

Supposed to be changed every 2 years and you can simply use a bottle and some tubing.
Tube from bleed nipple to emty bottle, pull in lever, open nipple, shut nipple, let go of lever and so on.
